Scars of the abuse...

Here is Gaia, the first greyhound we rescued from a hunter, she came pregnant but due to a bad beating all her babies were dead and decomposing inside of her, she had to get urgent surgery for that cos it could have killed her, not only that but i did count up to 73 scars on her body, her teeth were deformed, she could hardly eat and she used to drink water from the side of her muzzle instead of her front.

Not only that but she was that insecure that she used to howl to her sleep, she needed constant company, and not only  that but it took her up to a week to be able to sit down, yes you have heard right, her body was that tense that she couldnt sit down and relax, one week after with tons of reasuring, love treats and care she felt relaxed enough to do it, i even teared in happyness.

I dont know why i never posted pictures of her... there are millions on my facebook page...

When she got rescued from the hunter she was with, not only her but along with another 12 more dogs that were rehomed too, they told us that she didnt have a name at all, that it was that sad that she didnt have a name, none of the other dogs had one either.

The first name that came to my head was Gaia = Earth Goddess, thankfully after 3 months of full on recovery with us she was adopted to a lovely home.
